I was never a big fan of the commercial tomato plants supports, the wooden ladders or the round wire frames. I guess, I just like the natural look.
Years back, I have recycled to Mother Nature many tomatoes that were touching the ground, due to not being supported properly. The branches I use for the support were more like twigs, but this year I decided to approach it differently. I used a good size branch with many smaller branches in tack that I pruned from my lemon tree.
I am training the tomato plants to adopt the shape of the branches and so far, so good. Of course, I will let some tomatoes touch the ground and be recycled to Mother Nature. How do you think I got the plants in the pics?
